I believe that I don't have a favorite artist, but there is an artist that I like more than others. This artist is Yann Tiersen. He was born in 1970 (48 years old) in France, same country in that he studied violin in various conservatories of Rennes.Tiersen was influenced for subculture punk. He is recognozed for being a composer, pianist and singer, although too he play the accordion, electric guitar, violin and among others. His first album, was in 1995: "La valse des mostres"
I knew this artist when I watch the movie "Good Bye Lenin" (althought he's more famous for compose the soundtrack for "Amelie"). In this movie, he compused the soundtrack. I thought thst is a beautiful instrumental. The sounds of piano caused me sadness as the facts of the film.
Initially what I liked a lot his piano compositions, but when I knew more of this artist, I'm interesed for his hability for play differents instruments. I like so much his violin composition and songs in that Yann Tiersen actually sings. In fact, my favorite song of Yann Tiersen is "Monochrome": A song in that Yann sing.

The soundtrack of Amelie is wonderful! It's very different from everything I have heard before
